Travis Breinholt
Executive Director

Travis received his Bachelors in Business Administration from ASU after earning his Associates in Marketing from Mesa Community College. He started his soccer career playing for Tempe Southbank at the age of four but later moved to club and played all of his school years for the Cisco Soccer Club, where he served as captain. He also played for Corona Del Sol where he lettered all four years. His 1994 team took the state championship. In 1996 Travis was named MVP in which year he also served as team captain. In 1996 he was 1st Team All State and 1st Team All Arizona. He went on to play for Mesa Community College where he also served as captain for two years. Travis started his coaching career in 2000 with the Southbank Soccer Club. In the ensuing years he coached for Gilbert Youth Soccer, San Tan Legacy, San Tan Soccer Club recreational program as well as San Tan Excel and Legacy Excel. He served on the Legacy Board of Directors until he was recruited by NSFC. Travis enjoys coaching his boys’ teams and loves that NSFC will allow him to spend time with his family while enjoying a sport in which the whole family is involved.

Travis currently resides in Chandler with his wife and their four sons and one daughter. He currently owns several businesses in the east valley, including serving as president of the NSFC.

Sasha Hunter
Director of Coaching

Sasha has been coaching soccer for 16 years. He began coaching at Willis Jr. High school in 2001 and is currently coaching the Chandler High school’s varsity squad. He led the high school team to its first state title in school history this season (2015). He has been teaching special education for 16 years as well. He taught at Willis for 12 years and 4 years at Chandler High. He has trained several teams and coached his own kids’ recreational and competitive teams through YMCA, AZSC, GYSA, and San Tan. He currently holds a National “E” license certificate for coaching.

Jenn Carling
Director of Operations

Jenn is honored and proud to work with the coaching staff and directors at EV-FC and EV-NSFC. She’s served as NSFC’s Director of Operations since its inception in 2016. Each of her four girls have played soccer, with two of her daughters going on to play for Highland High School. She’s been a Gilbert resident for over 20 years and loves working with NSFC families.

Mike Miller
FC director

Mike has been coaching soccer in the East Valley for over 19 years. He currently holds a USSF National “C” License, USSF National Youth License and a USC Advanced National Diploma. He has coached all levels here in Arizona from recreational teams, youth club teams, high school, college and semi-professional teams. He is currently the head coach of the East Valley FC 04 Boys and the head boys’ coach at Red Mountain High School.

Lisa Roesner
Chairwoman of the Board

Lisa is a native Arizonan, she grew up in Southeastern corner of the state. She moved to the Phoenix area after High School and graduated from ASU. She and her soccer coach husband have five awesome children. Currently, she’s working as a mom and has been in Real Estate for about 12 years.  Lisa has served as PTO President for five years at CTA-Freedom and on the Perry High School Soccer board for four years. She’s a huge proponent of team sports and grew up in a small community so she was able to play Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Golf and run Track for her high school and community.  Unfortunately, she did not have a soccer program or she would have played that too! Lisa states that she’s so grateful for the experiences, friendships and growth she’s been able to gain from team play. All of her children play or have played soccer. She and her family have been a part NSFC since the club’s first year. She’s been serving on the board since 2018 and is “so proud of the work we’ve done to give families a competitive option for no-Sunday play, while also having EV – FC to provide more options for our families.” Lisa loves working “with our awesome staff and amazing coaches. I look forward to continuing to grow and build as an elite soccer club in the region and opening options to get as many children as we can involved in sports.”

Jon Thomas
EVFC director

Jon has been coaching soccer in Arizona for 14 years. He began coaching in Lexington, Kentucky while in graduate school and has spent the last seven years coaching teams at MSC United. Jon currently coaches the Girls varsity team at Mountain View High as well as the Boys Varsity at Heritage Gateway Academy, taking both programs to the state playoffs last year. Jon lives in Mesa, AZ with his family and works in operational finance. He currently holds a USSF National “D” license for coaching as well as other certifications.
